NAASA Weekend #2 Wrap Up

July 25, 2023

The second NAASA weekend is in the books and we have passed the midpoint in the season.  It was a super nice racing weekend – wildly exceeded expectations.

Big thanks to the RC team of PRO Cushing Anderson, Bob Hunte, Vincent Pattavina, and Bella Holmgren.  They had the longest days and kept the fleet off the water until the sailing was good – then ran 6 great races.  Also a shout out to Tripp Burd, who organized a great social at the Surf Club Saturday evening!

On the racecourse – it was all Surf Club as well – as they shot a perfect 6 for the weekend – even though the team split up to do some coaching.  Sign of what to expect as the team changes for the rest of the season?  Team Fastnet continued their winning ways – placing second for the weekend, followed closely by Skip and Alex.  Weekend results and debrief are below.   The F18 League season standings have shifted a bit – Surf Club still leads, Fastnet has moved into second, followed by Skip/Alex who just pipped Valante Mechanical by 2 points.

While Surf Club will be hard to pass – the rest of the scoreboard is tight and won’t be settled until our last weekend.
